COLONOSCOPY & GASTROSCOPY
Colonoscopy is an examination to screen for colorectal cancers by visually checking the lining of the colon without requiring any surgery. If detected early, patients stand a much higher chance of being successfully treated.
Gastroscopy is an examination of your upper gastrointestinal tract using an endoscope to confirm or rule out the presence of medical conditions such as stomach ulcers and gastritis.
Colorectal surgery includes surgical procedures to diagnose and treat conditions in the colon, rectum and anus. The most common procedure in colorectal surgery is the minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery (keyhole) procedure. It involves making small incisions on the abdomen, which allows for quicker recovery after the operation.
Our specialists focus on the diagnosis and therapy of both benign and malignant conditions of the colon, rectum and anus. This includes diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy for the early detection of cancers, surgical treatment of benign colorectal diseases like haemorrhoids and fistulae, and surgery of colorectal cancers. Our service also includes standard general surgical operations such as laparoscopic gallbladder and hernia surgery.
