Dr. Serene Lim stands at the forefront of reproductive medicine, specialising in assisted reproduction and fertility. Accredited by the Ministry of Health (MOH) as a fertility specialist, she has dedicated her career to providing comprehensive and personalised care for individuals and couples navigating the intricate landscape of fertility challenges.

With a solid foundation laid during her specialist training in obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive medicine, and assisted reproduction at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Dr. Lim’s expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of fertility issues and treatments. Her commitment to excellence was recognised with the prestigious Best Advanced Specialty Trainee (AST) Award in 2013, highlighting her as the top-performing specialist trainee.

Dr. Lim earned her basic medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2006, and her journey in reproductive medicine has only deepened since then. A member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (London) since 2012, she has continuously sought opportunities for advanced learning and skill enhancement. In 2019, Dr. Lim was granted the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) by the Singapore Ministry of Health, enabling her to pursue a one-year fellowship in Reproductive Medicine and Fertility Preservation at the renowned Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne. Under the guidance of Professor Cathryn Stern, a global authority in fertility preservation, Dr. Lim immersed herself in the latest advancements in the field. Returning to Singapore armed with cutting-edge knowledge, she has since become a beacon of hope for countless women and couples seeking medical fertility preservation. Dr. Lim’s impact extends beyond individual consultations; she has shared her expertise as an invited speaker at medical conferences and public forums, raising awareness about fertility preservation.

Dr. Lim’s commitment to advancing medical knowledge is evident in her role as a Clinical Tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Her contributions to postgraduate training programs and her appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Singhealth Duke-NUS Medical School underscore her dedication to nurturing the next generation of medical professionals.
