Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist | IVF Specialist
Dr Julia Tan is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with specialist accreditation in fertility care and assisted reproductive techniques.
She has a clinical focus on fertility assessment, subfertility management, early pregnancy care, and common gynaecological conditions such as abnormal menstrual bleeding, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids.
Dr Tan completed her medical degree with Honours (MBChB) at Liverpool Women’s Hospital in the United Kingdom—one of the country’s largest centres for obstetrics and gynaecology—where she trained alongside internationally recognised specialists. She returned to Singapore to pursue further specialist training at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Singapore General Hospital.
Her practice is guided by a patient-centred philosophy that emphasises shared decision-making, empathy, and education. As both a woman and a mother, Dr Tan recognises the anxieties many patients face when seeking gynaecological care and strives to provide a supportive and reassuring environment.
Dr Tan is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) and is a specialist accredited by the Singapore Ministry of Health. Her medical qualifications are also recognised by the medical councils of Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Malaysia.
She has contributed to clinical research and has presented her work at scientific conferences in the UK, Spain, Australia, and Japan. Her publications have appeared in various peer-reviewed international journals.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr Tan is actively involved in mentoring and community work. She volunteers her time to support literacy programmes for children, aiming to build confidence and academic skills in young learners.
